Step away from the urban shriek and down a narrow lane, then it’s through the front door to a home of caramel and cream, to wood panels, soft light and cuddly textiles. Should you wish to plunge back into the metropolis, it’s all there – the museums, Buckingham Palace and Knightsbridge. And so too are gentler pleasures, a walk in Hyde Park, a pot of tea in Harrods, an afternoon at the Serpentine Gallery. Whether snow falls or the sun’s high, you can always catch some rays in the pretty conservatory. If you’re in need of comfort, head to the sitting room, with its knitted stool and elegant sofas speckled with cushions bearing British beasts. You’ll find original fireplaces both here and upstairs in the bedrooms, alongside sash windows with idyllic views of Knightsbridge rooftops. And in the spacious bathrooms, you’ll have no trouble washing away your troubles, amidst rippling grey marble and elegantly gleaming tiles.

HOW TO GET THERE
Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated concierge can arrange transportation from the closest airport or train station to your London holiday rental home.
- By plane London is served by multiple airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead and London City Airport. Your dedicated concierge can arrange either Premium or Standard transfers to your vacation rental in London, England, from any arrival point.
- By train The city’s rail service is exceptional, with an international terminal for the Eurostar in the heart of the city, and the London Underground system covering all parts of the capital. Both overground and underground stations are located close to our London home rentals so it’s easy to get around.
- By car The local roads are notoriously congested, so if you’re staying at one of our London vacation rentals in the centre of the city, it’s best to avoid driving. However, if you want to explore a little further afield to the Cotswolds or the South Downs, your dedicated concierge can arrange car hire for you.
LOCAL TIPS
- As you may be taking the tube (that’s the London Underground for those who don’t know!) we recommend that you pay with your contactless credit card - it's the same price as an Oyster card and much more convenient.
- Like many European capitals, the best way to discover parts of the city (and especially the parks) is on foot. You can also go horseback riding in Hyde Park.
- Some of the popular attractions of the city get crowded, especially during school holidays. Booking well in advance or ask your dedicated concierge to arrange passes to avoid the long queues.
